The fantastic Kids Camp was delivered by ActivKids at Edgeborough School this Half Term and it was a pleasure for Fitness Kids to work alongside Steve Hawkes for a few days of activities.
The days were full of fun, inspiration and helped the children develop the 6 fundamentals of fitness: flexibility, agility, balance, co-ordination, strength and endurance through fun activities.
The facilities at Edgeborough near Frensham were fantastic and the good weather made it possible to work outside as well as inside.
It was so encouraging seeing the children enjoy the benefits of physical activity and experiencing taster sessions of new or favourite sports and having FUN.
The structure was flexible and comprised of sessions that last no longer than 45 minutes. A typical day included a warm up, multi-skills and fitness session, active team games, taster sessions for sport (e.g. football, tennis, athletics).
Mixed in were some drinks breaks (for re-hydration), lunch, and music too, and the children had a thoroughly fun and active experience!
