At Fitness Kids we engage with children at several levels, depending on their overall goals or needs. Overall we light the fun within them that is naturally present. We have found that in this ever increasing pressured world, parents/adults often have so much responsibility that they forget and lose their childlike anticipation.
When you are 6 years old, a whole year seems like an eternity, but as we get older it seems less so and time just seems to fly by. How often have we said ‘I cannot believe it’s another year!’ Do you remember as a child when the years used to go on forever and there was always something fun around the corner to look forward to that was exciting and exhilarating? Do you remember feeling like that as a kid? Do you remember being spontaneous?
Often as adults, we tend to prioritise work and commitments over fun stuff, the stuff that can actually make life exciting. Sarah Rickwood explains: ‘I set up Fitness Kids with fun in mind, to spark creativity and light the childlike inner child we all possess within us, whether we are 6 years olds or 60. Kids and parents/adults have a lot of pressure in the western world but, let’s not forget what fun is out there for us all to embrace’.
At Fitness Kids we have designed day courses and fitness programmes that not only come from an educational/fitness perspective but also from a stance for parents/adults of bringing back the child like anticipation within and laughing and having fun.
